EDUCATION
2002 Master of Arts with high distinction and Award of Excellence Ministry of Education (French Horn Instrumental) at the Music University Graz, Austria. Elective studies in conducting, arts management, studio recording as well as music education.
1993 Matriculation at the Kodály Zoltán Music High School in Debrecen. Awarded Distinction in both music theory and performance (piano, voice and French horn).
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Since January 2019-at TGS, Leader, arranger and conductor of eight ensembles (PBuzz Ensemble for Y2, Preparatory Brass Ensemble, Senior Brass Ensemble, Allegretto, Allegro and Prestissimo Concert Bands, Preparatory Concert Band and Allegretto Concert Band and Preparatory Year 4 Music Program), tutor of all brass instruments. Additional teacher of Year 12 IB Diploma students. Currently responsible for the programs of eight bands, ensembles and classes as well as individual students ranging from Year 2 to Year 12). The new program for Y2 pupils based profoundly on the Orff method. Duties include composing music, conducting, arranging as well as assisting in organizing annual concerts and events at both Summer Hill and Strathfield Campuses. My responsibilities span overviewing brass instrumental tuition through to coordinating peripatetic wind tutors’ work, for a successful woodwind and brass program. I am enthusiastic about improving the existing music, band and orchestral programs.
2019-present: Teacher at Hungarian School Sydney
2016-2018 Brass and piano teacher, as well as brass ensemble leader at SCEGGS Darlinghurst (Year3- 12)
Proprietor of a teaching studio on the Northern Beaches with over 60 individual students plus waiting list.
2010-2015 Brass, piano teacher and leader of the brass ensemble at Bishop Druitt College (Coffs Harbour), Bellingen High and Primary Schools, as well as at The Armidale School and the Presbyterian Ladies College in Armidale (Y3- Y12).
2011-2012 Casual lecturer in ensemble leadership for tertiary music pedagogy students at the University of New England (UNE).
2010-2012 Head of Brass at the New England Conservatorium of Music in Armidale, NSW responsibilities also included administering the Music Library and Instrumental hire program. Students ranged from primary to adult.
2007-2008 Teacher of French horn, keyboard, chamber music and music theory at the Bruck an der Leitha State Conservatory of Music (Austria). Coordinator of the wind, and music theory programs and the symphony orchestra (duties included administering the instrument inventory including repairs, budgeting, and purchasing).
1994-2000 Teacher of horn, trumpet, trombone, piano, electronic keyboard and ensemble at the Langenwang Conservatory of Music in Styria, Austria. Duties involved concert planning, accompanying students, preparing students for examinations. Teacher of the French horn, trombone and recorder at the Kumberg Music School (Austria)
